We loved Cuffie River, Bluewaters and Castara Retreats. All very different, and all excellent. Coco Reef was a bit disappointing, not very well run but a good opportunity to have a look at that part of the island. It would have been better to have gone there first, fine for a few days chilling after the flight. The arrangements all worked brilliantly, and it was lovely to have excursions booked, it’s not always easy otherwise to arrange them on dates to fit in. The only issue we struggled with was money, we found our cards didn’t work in most of the cash machines. We should have got currency before we travelled, or taken cash, which could be changed. Bluewaters were helpful here, the managers there are very good. Might just be worth mentioning money in your notes.

Our holiday in Tobago was fabulous - well-structured, tailored to our needs and with fantastic accommodation in a magical setting. All ancillaries such as transfers were organised in advance, and everything worked on cue. Finally, Tobago is a stunning destination for wildlife-lovers, particularly birders, and the guides are incredibly knowledgeable. All in all, highly recommend Tobago, and Naturally Travels as your means of getting there.

Alison - February 2024The Little Tobago trip from Castara with Newton is a must. You get to see the Frigate Birds attempting to steal food from the Tropical Birds from the cliffs, as seen in a David Attenborough production ‘The trials of Life’. A tasty lunch is included which makes the trip great value for money. Watching the Hummingbirds from Newton’s house with a cold beer is absolutely the icing on the cake.
Tobago appears safe, friendly and yes, I’d definitely go back. The Caribbean of old, no large corporate hotels and no guards on the beach.
